How To Get The Best Mobile Phone Deal

A common mistake that most people do when they buy a new phone or mobile contract is forget to shop around to find the best deal. Most people just sign up for whatever deal their current provider offers.
This is a big mistkae as a bit of research can save you a lot of money. One of the best ways to do this is to use a price comparision site, who can find the best mobile deal across networks and mobile retailers. A good way to do this in the UK is to use DialToSave, who have just purchased a sponsored review.
DialToSave will do all the hard for you and can find for you the best deal tariff and phone across all networks, including many deals that aren’t publicly advertised. Deals can be located by network if you have a particular preference like me, where I’ll never go back to Vodafone as the coverage where I live is awful. All the usual networks are covered like 3, Orange, Vodafone and O2 but Virgin are also included which is good, as they have some good deals going at the moment.
If you have a particular handset or handset manufacturer in mind, then you can limit results this way as well. For instance you can search for Nokia or Sony Ericsson handsets if like me, those are your favourites (Apart from one Sharp handset, every phone I’ve owned over the last 12 years has been one of these). Or, you can go for a Motorola Handset or a Samsung handset if you’re not picky ;-)
One feature that I thought was quite clever was the international call service. One thing I still hate about mobiles are the ridiculous international call rates. DialToSave has an international service that can be used without registering. All you have to do is text ‘dts’ to 80556 from your phone which buys £5 of credit nad then use a UK access number to place calls. The rates are very good, with calls to the US only costing 1p per min and to Jamaica 7p/min.
