Facebook Traffic Has Grown By 500% Last Six Months In UK

I’m glad that I’m not the only person in the UK who’s spending far too much time on Facebook. In the last six months Facebook traffic has grown by more than 500% in the UK,with over 10% of UK internet users visiting the site. This compares to 9% in the US.   According to Nielsen, Facebook and Bebo will overtake Myspace as the number one site in the UK by September.

I’m starting to worry about how addictive Facebook is going to get in a couple of weeks.  At the moment I only have around 80 friends, but there are a few in there I haven’t spoken to for a while who I spend a lot of time catching up with. I’m worried what will happen when more of my older mates start appearing. I’m starting to appreciate now why some workplaces are blocking access to Facebook, as I’m sure there are some people who spend all day chatting on the site and messing around with Facebook apps.

FaceBook is definitely doing well in the U.K.That is primarily the reason why it’s decided to have an extended focus on U.K operations. The year on year traffic growth has been more than 1500% and the weekly growth at around 3% which is staggering.
I recently did a post on the same. You can find it here :
