My Nokia N95 Still Isn’t Working - Hopefully I’ll Get The 8GB Model Instead

8GB Nokia N95

I sent my Nokia N95 back to T-Mobile last month to get the GPS and a problem with the call quality fixed. Unfortunately my N95 has come back with exactly the same problems, so I’ve got to send it back again.

Update:  Just spoken to T-Mobile and apparently a lot of N95s have been suffering from audio and random shutdown problems, and many have had to be sent back to have the firmware upgraded.

I’m really annoyed as otherwise I think my Nokia N95 is amazing. The internet browser is amazing, the screen is pretty good, and the form factor is just about right although it could maybe be a bit slimmer. My personal favourite though is the mp3 player as I now commute on the tube to work. Without my music I think I would go insane on the underground.

I’m kind of secretly hoping that they don’t fix my phone so that I can ‘insist’ on T-Mobile giving me the 8GB Nokia N95 when it comes out. This should allow me to store around 1200 tracks, which would be perfect.

Then hopefully I should wait for Nokia to release software updates. :) I was actually planning to buy N95. But hearing about the crowd for iPhone, I am scared to choose which one. But being a mobile game developer I am not happy with iPhones

Hopefully this 8GB will have good speed. The older N90 with 8GB was damn slow. :-)

Thanks for pointing out the value. I got the same problem with my Sonyw810i and it was fixed when return.

Having Nokia 95N with the problem looks odd to me.

I thought N95 doesn’t accept SDHC. Now I guess I should look at it once again.

I just got a N95 and it keeps freezing up. This is the fifth time I have had it replaced. How many others are experiencing this problem? Other wise I love this phone. You would think they would have recalled them or fixed the problems with the new ones by now.
