Did you read Everton’s first post about the importance of picking the right domain name? If not then read “Why Choosing A Good Domain Name Is Important” first.
Since I moved my domain petersen-inc.dk to www.betanews.com on July 3rd, a lot has happened. My old Google Page Rank hasn’t returned…yet and my Alexa Rank is down 800,000 compared to my old URL. Thanks to the redirection, mentioned in Everton’s article from earlier this week, my traffic is still the same so it should only be a matter of time before everything is back to normal again.

In this week’s update it changed 500,000 so now I’m at 592,067. It’s looking good.

I changed domain a few months ago for one of my site usind 301 permanent redirect. In few weeks he has the same pagerank and visit as before. I have only a trouble: I want transfer a wordpress blog on another domaind and change also permalinks structure. There is a plugin to do so?
