Xbox 360 News – Halo 3, Chatpad, New Controller And Elite

Microsoft is using the E3 to announce what to expect later this year.

There is some really great news. Xbox 360 Elite will hit Europe on August 24th. On top of that Europeans will also be blessed with access to video downloads from Xbox Live. The Americans are already benefiting from that. So high-definition Disney cartoons – Here we come!

If you want to know more Engadget has tested the Xbox 360 Elite versus Xbox 360 Classic.

Now speaking of Xbox 360 releases, Microsoft will offer the Xbox 360 Halo 3 Special Edition Console in September 2007. The console features an exclusive “Spartan green and gold” finish and comes bundled with a matching Xbox 360 Wireless Controller, 20GB Hard Drive, Headset, Play & Charge Kit, a lot of cables, and exclusive Halo 3 Gamer Pics and Theme. Halo 3 is not included!

I guess they have to get rid of the old models and primary focus on Xbox 360 Elite.

The spending doesn’t stop here. On September 4th the Xbox 360 Messenger Kit is released. The retail price is $ 29,99. So what else is in the kit? A Xbox 360 Wired Headset! The chatpad is attached to your controller and has backlit buttons for those of you who are chatting in the dark.

While the new versions of the system are nice, I wish that I had heard something in the way of XBox improving the overheating and red ring of death problems. (#):( *double frown*
  • After I sell the Wii I just purchased, I think it will be time to drop the $$$ for an elite.
