This is really a useful plugin although it may have bugs in intial stages.
BTW Everton, the secon link in the post is not valid, its having 2 http.

I’d find this really useful as upgrading isn’t something I like to spend ages doing. It sounds like it more semi-automated, reminds me of the vbulletin upgrades which take you through stage by stage where you advance it by clicking the next button.

I’d be amazed if this functionality didn’t come into the core WordPress product soon though.

I’m really cautious when using such automatic scripts. This might be nice for small blogs but I prefer to manually update my blogs to be in charge. What if something goes wrong along the line ?

Could be really problematic to figure out when and why and what. It is also not working if you changed code in the WordPress files and not only in your templates.
