When Was The Last Time You Upgraded Your Plugins?
Many of us religiously upgrade our WordPress installations whenever a new version is released, usually because vital security fixes are included.
But, when was the last time you upgraded your plugins? Keeping your WordPress plugins up-to-date can be just as vital in order to keep your WordPress blog safe and secure. Upgrading to the last plugin version can also make your blog faster, or add additional functionality to your site.
I try to check for WordPress plugin updates every month or two, and I’m going to have a quick check this weekend to see if there have been any new plugin releases since my last run. So far I’ve spotted that Napolux has updated his MyAvatars Plugin for MyBlogLog.

I try to check for updates everytime I upgrade WordPress. Generally updates on most popular plugins tend to coincide with major updates to the software they support.
I also try to remember to check for updates at the beginning of each month just to be safe.

This is definitely something I need to do more often - in fact I’m sure there’s some plugins that haven’t been checked since they were installed!
I really should find some time to do this!
