FIFA 2008 - All The Confirmed Leagues *Exclusive*
As you’ve probably read several places, including here at the first look at FIFA 08, the confirmed number of leagues are
30. In FIFA 2007 there were 27 leagues, so what are the other three?
Well, only one other football league has been confirmed - The FAI League of Ireland and of course that leads to guessing and arguing. What other football or soccer league will FIFA 08 give us?
Rumour has it, that *CONFIRMED* and *EXCLUSIVE* (read below) the Australian A-league and Czech Gambrinus League will be the other two new ones. This has sparked a lively discussion on many forums, since a lot of FIFA fans believe their local league belongs in the FIFA Football series. Especially the South Americans are very vocally. They really hoped the Argentinian league would be featured in FIFA 08. They argue that the English Football League One and Two should be removed and replaced by the Argentinian and the Chilean football leagues.
These are the confirmed leagues that will be included in FIFA 08:
* Austrian Bundesliga
* Australian A-league new
* Belgian Jupiler League
* Brazilian Campeonato Brasileiro
* Czech Grambinus League new
* Danish Superligaen
* Dutch Eredivisie
* Premier League
* Football League Championship
* Football League One
* Football League Two
* French Ligue 1
* French Ligue 2
* German Bundesliga 1
* German Bundesliga 2
* FAI Premier Division new
* Italian Serie A
* Italian Serie B
* Korean K-League
* Major League Soccer (USA and Canada)
* División de México
* Norwegian Tippeligaen
* Polish Orange Ekstraklasa
* Portuguese BWINLIGA
* Scottish Premier League
* Spanish Primera División
* Spanish Segunda División
* Swedish Allsvenskan
* Swiss Axpo Super League
* Turkcell Super League
FIFA 2008 will be available September 28 worldwide for the following game consoles: Xbox360, Playstation 3, Playstation 2, PSP, Nintendo DS, Nintendo Wii, Nokia N-Gage and PC.
*UPDATE* My “contact” at EA Sports has just confirmed that the other league is the Chech Grambinus League. He also said that the final league isn’t a European and that it has been guessed already. So I think we we say it’s the Australian A-league. Remember you read it first on Connected Internet!

I think it’s time for EA sports directors to include south american leagues, copa libertadores, copa america. They’ll make great success if they release a game based solely in south america and their leagues. Loyal Fifa players like myself(since 1996) will be waiting for this release. Thank you guys @ EA sports.
