Nokia Recalling 46m BL-5C Batteries

In case you haven’t been paying attention over the last couple of days, Nokia are recalling 46m faulty BL-5C batteries. I was a bit worried that after only just getting my Nokia N95 back, I’d be without a phone again, but luckily my battery is a BL-5F.

Only a small batteries are at risk according to Nokia, but 46m is still a big number to recall, particularly as the fault doesn’t seem to be that serious - there’s a risk of the battery ‘dislodging’.

To see if you battery is one of the Nokia batteries that are being recalled, then check to see if your battery’s serial number is listed on the Nokia website. All replacements will be done free of charge of course.

Well, this scare isn’t so bad. There was a recent scare in Philippines of 10,000 contaminated cans of BABY MILK. Botulin arising from impure plant processing. If Im correct, Wyeth ordered a massive recall.

    Now that’s good company policy

My phone Nokia 2310 has a BL-5C Battery with a 10-digit identification number. Is this a genuine battery or Fake one. Can it be replaced at a later date if it brings problems as the phone has only lasted One week.?
