Arm Wrestling Game Recalled After 3 People Break Arms

View Comments August 22, 2007 | Everton

Arm SpiritI really hope that somebody gets fired at Japanese firm, Atlus. An arm wrestling game, Arm Spirit, has been withdrawn after 3 players broke their arms. The company claimed that the:

“The machine isn’t that strong, much less so than a muscular man. Even women should be able to beat it”

But, surely they realised that they’d be some people out there who wouldn’t use the machine correctly or would push as hard as they could to try and slam the arm down?

I really hope that they’ve scrapped their plans for a tug of war machine ;-)

  • LOL that's crazy, an arcade machine actually broke three people's arms? I find that quite amazing, yet hilarious :D
  • Good thing it wasn't a thumb wrestling machine .. ouch.
  • I can't believe it could break their arms.
They must be so smart (shows their power to his girl), tried to slam or break the machine arm down ~ idiots.
  • It should say like this:
Game over for the first hand If you have guts then Try your second hand :D
  • Just a thought after breaking the hand did the machine say "Game Over / Play Again ?"
  • Well Holy Cow. That's all I have to say. You'd think they'd super-test this kind of game. Maybe they needed to include some drunk test subjects.
