You guys should check out FameWord.com. It's just got out of beta now. It's basically the same as MillionDollarWiki, except here you can set up a page for free. You only have to purchase a page if you want to be the sole editor of the page.

He will need lots of link love. I actually emailed him and said he should start offering discounted wiki pages if the buyers give him quality one way backlinks PR5+. Can I win a page for having a good idea? :P He told me he is seriously going to consider doing this. I would use my page for mortgage leads, as most all of my sites are mortgage sites!

‘wont distribute hardly any’ i think is a double negative or at least bloody unclear.

It will distribute no pagerank to other pages.

Lol. It won’t distribute hardly *any* pagerank to the article pages just because of the way it is designed. I’m unsure if the creator intended it that way, but as it stands, the landing page will have high pagerank, but each ‘purchased’ page will have a page rank of about 0.2 unless the authors promote it on their own.

like i said, he is going to like off to 10 categories each with 1000 links on each page (to make it round numbers). The page with the list of links may have a high pr, but with so many links.. google will pass almost *no* pagerank to each of the pages from there.

It is the same problem that the pixelads site has. Go ahead, look at that page. See what the average advertiser has as a pagerank. They have a backlink from this huge site, but since theres like 2000 urls on the page, it passes on no love. The ads are useless for pagerank.

it would make sense if the site had some very good PR.
Also this concept gives a lot of PR distribution to other sites. Each page would have a number of out bound links.

yes you can do proper html in a wiki.. and hopefully, depending on what wiki software used, you can insert iframes, etc. with straight wikicode, your options might be limited, but i would imagine that it is fairly open, as i saw some embedded flash for a video player on one of the sample pages. any of the above ideas could be done up in flash if the world ended.. hopefully adobe’s security model could be set up properly for it ;)

The traffic a page is going to generate is going to be fairly small. 1 million dollars/100 per page = 10,000 pages

He’s going to have to change his link structure soon to be able to handle 1000 pages in a category, as right now, he just lists them all out, which means, ok say with all the backlinks (from bloggers like yourself who just gave him some backlink love), he obtains a PR6 (which is what milliondollarhomepage has currently), and then the categories pages will have PR5, then divide that up amongst 1000 or so pages.. same problem milliondollar webpage has. Click on a link on their main page.. no pagerank love passed.

So, I wouldn’t count on it to be able to generate any link love for promoting my own sites, or for any *real* form of advertising. The pages people buy are going to be so buried that they will seldom get any love. Right now, the top page has 30k views, which .. is a fair amount, but he only has 400 advertisers right now. So, 30,000 views, lets say $1 EPC on a google adsense or other advertising (pretty low because, really, you arent getting serious traffic.. its gawkers), thats $30 for the top page on here.

My use of the site would be ‘gimmick’ instead of advertising. People are going to come here and search for something rediculous ’sex’ or something. I’d probably do something ironic like post an iframed wiki in there for people coming in to post their own content off of it, or..

got it. google maps app where users can pushpin their own location on the map to chart the effectiveness and spread of milliondollar wiki.. done plenty of times, but I am curious about the spread and traffic of it.

Well, I think i can put a milliondollarwiki page in a good use. My plan is to use it to quide people about the “Get Paid To” industry. More particular for the Paid surveys.
I would like inform the folks about which sites do really pay, thus they wont get scammed by another get rich program.

If you award me the wikipage, we can share the revenue form the affiliate links.
(all programs are free to join but you still get credit for it)
Just my 2 cents.
