10 Freeware Recommendations

If you haven’t checked out gHacks yet you are really missing out. Martin’s new theme is looking really nice and clean, and was one of the inspirations for me to start working on a brand new theme for my site.

Martin’s just created a list of 10 Freeware apps that he uses. I already use some like Remove Empty Directories that I discovered via One Tip A Day. But, there are a few gems in there including eBay Sniper Software.

This cool program automatically bids at the last possible moment on eBay listings, making it impossible for ‘manual’ bidders to raise the price again before the auction ends. This will greatly increase your chances of securing items.

Other freeware programs listed include NZB Player and DVDFab HD Decryptor. Here’s the full list of Cool Freeware Programs.

Got any cool freeware programs that you like? My favourites include CCleaner and Notepad++

One of my ultrafaves is TrueCrypt. No one- not even the CIA can get your files when hashed with this industry leading free app.

WinXP’s file encryption is anemic in comparison. For $100, you can download a software that cracks WinXP’s keys in seconds

Not to be biased or anything, but in the realm of neat ebay tools theres shortship (yes, shameless plug).

basically ebay sucks because people can charge $2 for an item with $50 shipping and ebay says thats cheaper than $10 with $10 shipping. Also, I can’t count how many times i’ve clicked on a ‘good priced’ auction only to find it has a reserve..

shortship does both. Also handles currency conversions, so you can see offhand which is cheaper X quid or Y euros, post and all.

Yea, a bit lame to plug one’s own stuff.. but you did ask for best freeware apps.. and I happen to know on authority that the developer’s a real cool guy.

    ;)

Freeware has never been as popular. Advertisers have finally learnt that they have to give to get.
