Chart Track in the UK claim that the Wii has sold 1m units in the UK faster than any other new console, taking only 38 weeks since it’s launch in Dec 2006. In comparison the PS2 took 50 weeks and the Xbox 360 took 60 weeks.
I don’t know why but a Wii has never appealed to me. Maybe because I only like certain types of games like Halo 3 which will finally be launched in the UK on September 26th, a day after Halo 3′s US launch.
I’m so eager to get my teeth stuck into the Halo 3 that I nearly took the 26th off just to play the game. It was a close call, but because I’m out of the office for the whole week before that in San Francisco and because I’ve already booked the 24th and 25th Sept to get some work done on my new car, I thought I’d be taking the mick a bit taking another day just to play a video game!
