If there isn’t a new iPod announcement coming today, there will be a lot of disappointed people out there including me!
I’m going to be in San Franciso in 2 weeks and one of the items I’m hoping to be able to pick up is a cheap 6th Gen iPod. I think my boss has only approved the trip so that I can pick one up for him. If Apple don’t come through with the goods, I might get fired!
If you haven’t been keeping up with the latest 6th Gen Apple rumours, here are the ones I’ve spotted:
- HDD-less – Flash storage and WiFi connectivity
- Digital Radio and buy tracks instantly
- Wide-screen video iPod- up to 4″
To be honest, I don’t want or need WiFi as I don’t purchase tracks from the iTunes Music Store, and I have so much music I don’t have time to listen to the radio. A better screen would be wasted on me, as I only use my iPod for video a few weeks a year when I’m holiday.
I need a new iPod because one is going to be permanently in my new car as part of my Dension Gateway 500 installation instead of a CD changer. So, what I need is either more storage for the car new 6G car iPod (my collection is 120GB) or a more storage on a Nano, so that I can put my 60GB 5G iPod in the car and use the Nano on the move and at the gym.
