Apologies For The Blog Spamming Readers
Everton | Sep 06, 2007 | View Comments
My server died this evening for a few hours, and when it eventually got going again the Comment Relish plugin decided to send emails to I think everyone who has ever left a comment on Connected Internet. Unfortunately, it seems it decided to send a fair few to each person.
I just want to apologise to everyone who received the emails. Judging by how many complaints I got it was a lot of people. Hopefully everything is ok now, although the forum still looks a bit wonky.
Update: PowerVPS have deleted all the emails in the queue and the emails will stop now. just in time as another 3,500 were queued up ready to go. Apologies again to everyone.
Hi Everton,
I’ve deleted all mails in the queue coming from nobody@connectedinternet.co.uk
As that’s the sender sending out the ‘thanks for your first comment’ etc etc.
The mail queue is just about email, I deleted about 3,500 mails
Best Regards,
Phil
