It must have been, oh, two weeks since the last WordPress update, so here’s another one to keep you busy.
WordPress 2.2.3 contains some security updates so it has to be done immediately. I’ve just updated my site and it was pretty quick. I didn’t even have to upgrade the database, so hopefully this will mean that less things can go wrong.

I just updated as well, surprisingly painless. If only everything was that simple.

I did mine with the instant update plugin and it went through quickly (right in the middle of a stumbleupon spike of traffic coming to the site).
my stats show 25000 hits to wp-admin last night so I jumped into action after seeing this post thanks!

Thanks for the pointer Andy, that’s a really handy plugin. (Too late for me know though, obviously)

i was surprised by how easy it was, normally I like to do things the ‘proper’ way but I have seen it mentioned in a few places now so thought I’d give it a go and it went smoothly, kudos to the coder

The instant update plugin ruins all manual modifications outside of your theme folder. I did it twice - and still have it activated. But I won’t touch it this time.
