StartUp Delayer: Speed Up Windows By Delaying Apps

I’m a speed freak. That’s why I ditched my Stove top for the microwave and dumped the Corona for the SiR i-Vtec.

Now Windows is one of those critters that seem to hate speeding up, no matter how much RAM I ram down its throat or how beefy the processor I slap on its rump. Darn.

Then I found out one reason: the OS loads scores and scores of apps and services at startup. Count em: almost 200+ nearly concurrently.

Inane. I can’t wash the dishes, answer the phone and mow the lawn at the same time. But MS programmers seem to think that a thrashing hard disc can do 200 tasks at the same time.

But there’s a cure. Check out StartUp Delayer. It literally delays stuff to speed things up. By delaying the launch of the 200+ buggers at, say, intervals of 20secs each, the OS can breathe a little better, and return control to you. I love this software so much (its free) and installed it in all 20 PCs I overlook.

Have fun!
