What Are Your Plans For The Halo 3 Launch?

Master ChiefI was reading through my feeds looking for inspiration for posts while watching the Sporting Lisbon Vs Man Utd Champions League game, and I spotted a post by Bush about Halo 3’s impending launch next week, and he seems to be as excited as me.

Bush asked the following question:

So how about you guys? Excited about the game? Planning a Halo 3 party? Skipping out work? Skipping out on your marriage? Selling your kids on eBay?

I was just about to post a reply, but as with nearly all my comments on Bush’s site I decided to turn my reply into a post instead!

Unlike Bush, I haven’t pre-ordered a copy of Halo 3 as I’ve had problems getting pre-orders on launch day in the past, and I’m not prepared to risk getting my copy of Hal0 3 late. My original plan was to take the new car to work so that I could pick a copy up on the way home, but I’ve just realised that I’ve accepted an invite to Dating Direct’s relaunch party on the same night.

What I’ll probably try and do is pick up a copy during the day and somehow leave the party early, so that I can get a few hours Halo 3 action in before going to bed.

Are you planning an all-nighter when Halo 3 comes out?

  • I've never played Halo before, well I've had a quick go on demo machines in shops, but never a proper go on it.

I'm still getting used to Xbox controller instead of mouse/keyboard of PC FPS games - I'm tempted to get it just to see what all the fuss is about! Altho I did that with Gears of War and have barely played that game!
  • Chris
    no plans
  • It is the last game of the franchise, if you are a RTS fan....wait till HALO WARS comes out.
  • I was surprised to learn yesterday to see that Halo 3 would be the last one in the series.

Maybe they'll be more games based in the Halo universe, but just not featuring Master Chief.
  • HALO 2 really was a awsome game i really like the Halo series, i have read every book and article about. I'm feeling a little bad about Halo franchise ending with Halo 3. Hey bungie we really liked it to go like Final fantasy XIII
  • lets hope that they release it early otherwise NFS pro street will beat Halo for sure..which is also due first week of Nov.
  • @John - Ha ha ha.

@Everton - I seem to do that too...Invite others to some shindig and then say to myself, "Man, I kinda wish I could get out of this now..." Ah well. Socializing and schmoozing is important right?

And like you said, I AM very worried about not getting the game on launch day but it might be for the better...I mean, if I get it on Tuesday there's a good chance I'm going to up ALL night playing it which means Wed at work is gonna suck plus the day after that too!
  • I was very tempted to bail out on the party, but I've convinced some of my colleagues to go as well, so I have to go now as the invite is in my name.
  • Surely the headline for this post should have been "Dating Direct Dumped for Halo 3"... ;-)
