Not Even Crack Addicts Get This High

Admit it. Most of you park your arses at the PC for almost eight hours a day. That’s an average of twenty hours in a week of toxic buildup that has you pulling out your hair- and that of your officemates. Be kind to yourself and those around you. Unload some of that mental gunk before the men in white are called in.
For tech addicts, one quick way to zone out is by popping on a set of Light/Sound devices that flash hypnotic lights and mind swirling sounds. I’ve enjoyed various such gadgets since the 90s. The Orion is one. Another is that kick ass Proeteus that even allows audio input from regular CD players.
My contention with L/S devices is they require at least 30 minutes to take effect. Sometimes they even get boring- especially when used five days in a row. I’d take off the contraption and get back to work – and back to pulling my hair.
Now two years ago I found an alternative to L/S. It’s called cranial electrotherapy stimulation or CES. My doc first raised it at a get together over some beers and steaks out on a nice balmy summer. CES, according to this fella, is rapidly replacing prozac in some circles as a treatment for depression. Not only that, it also zaps anxiety, headache and suicidal thoughts. A nice side benefit it makes soar into unimaginable highs within 5 minutes… without police knocking on your door and a nice judge sending you off to prison.
My ears perked. Anxiety? Check. Headaches? Check.
Nope- no suicidal thoughts though.
I picked up my very first CES unit made by Sotainstruments and tried it. That was in 2005. My initial usage blew my mind. Minutes after the current pulsed into my skull, I felt I could barely stand up. Fact is, I felt like I’ve slammed 3 tequilas. Groggily, I just slumped deeply into the lazy boy and drifted to sleep
Woah. Finally- instant relief for stress! Not only did this baby work magic, it was amazingly durable. I’m still using the same unit today and have changed the battery only six times since the purchase. How’s that for value for money?
