Bingo Is Cool - Honest!
Some of you may have noticed a Dream Bingo banner running in the sponsors section in the sidebar for the last couple of weeks. As part of the campaign, Dream Bingo also ordered a review.
For those of you who have never come across Bingo before, it’s a game in the UK that traditionally has been popular with old age pensioners. But over the last 10 years, Bingo has undergone a major revival and is now a very popular game with the younger generations. One of the first projects I did when I worked in consulting was for a bingo chain in the UK, and I was stunned by how many people my age were playing bingo in the evenings!
Registering to play Bingo online with Dream Bingo is easy, and once you’ve registered you not only get £5 to play with for free, but your first deposit is doubled, and any further deposits are increased by 25%. The free £5 can go a long way as games can be played for as little as 5p.
90 Ball Bingo
To enter all you need to do is buy a ticket, with prices starting as low as 5p. Each ticket has 3 rows and 9 columns. Each row has 5 numbered squares; while there will always be 4 free squares per row.
To win, all you need to do is cross off the numbers on your ticket as they are drawn by the computer. The first person to cross off their numbers wins. There are 3 jackpots available:
- One Line Bingo – simply mark off 1 horizontal line (5 numbers)
- Two Line Bingo – mark off 2 horizontal lines (10 numbers)
- Full House – hit the big time by matching your whole bingo ticket (15 numbers)
The size of the win depends on how many tickets are sold. The more tickets that are sold, the bigger the jackpot. The action can obviously get quite hectic, so the system will automatically cross your numbers off for you - handy if you’ve purchased a number of tickets. You can also schedule-buy tickets up to 24 hours in advance.
The game has chat feature that allows you to talk to other Bingo players, as well as gain additional credits.
If you want to try your had at other games, Dream Bingo have a selection of Online Casino games available. Online Slots and Online Video Poker are available, as well as the usual Online Blackjack and Online Roulette.
One drawback of the service is that there isn’t a ‘play for free’ option which would have been nice, as it would be nice to just play for fun. Also, although no download is required to play the games, it is a bit annoying that each of the games seem to open in separate windows.
Overall though, Dream Bingo is a nice site which offers a slightly different site of games to the usual online gaming site. I’d recommend giving Dream Bingo a go, even if it is only to take advantage of the free £5 offer.

Coming from the old school Bingo halls back in the 80s, at the time the image was well deserved, but there was a good cross section of ages. What I always found though was that younger people wanted to get involved but were too put off by the image and lack of knowledge at the clubs. I started arranging work trips taking complete beginners and they loved it!
The current growth of the game has short circuited that fear of the big halls. With a range of online sites and communities, it’s not surprising the game is growing online. It’s also interesting to note that an online audience has a much younger skew than the land based audience. Modern chat and Bingo forums has helped it to grow online. Dream Bingo are one of the new boys to the online Bingo market - it will be interesting to see how well they do.

As far as expecting to get with a ticket what you can’t get through honest work isn’t exactly my thing - I guess that’s why I never play

I play bingo online and as far as I am concerned you get a much better quality of social interaction as there are chat consoles and the bingo marks itself off automatically.
In bingo halls you cannot speak as you would risk yourself or others missing their numbers being called . If you are looking for a good point to start I’d recommend a free bingo website & review site such as bingoport a comprehensive guide here and a chance to earn port points that act as cash in the online bingos.
