TNX.net - A Great New Way To Make Money Online

TNX.net

After a false dawn with CashCrate, I really think I have stumbled onto a great new way to make money online.

Over the last couple of months I’ve reduced the number of schemes that I utilise to generate over $15k per month from this site, and I’m certain that TNX.net will play a major role in the future.

TNX’s own site description describes it best:

TNX.net combines the benefits of Contextual Advertising, Text Link Brokers and Relevant Exchange of permanent non-reciprocal text links.

i.e. not only do they offer a great way for advertisers to place contextual ads, but webmasters and publishers can benefit from selling links, but also from using their ‘points’ to place text link ads on other sites.

TNX.net: Sell links on every page of your site to thousands of advertisers!

When TNX.net approached me to write this review, it took a lot of self-displine to wait until their paypal payment arrived, as I wanted to tell my readers about this service anyway! TNX’s system works on a points system, where more points are required to buy links on pages with higher Page Ranks.

Purchasing links is very cost effective e.g. one text link can be purchased for just 1 point, with 1,000 points available for just over a dollar. The more links you buy the more traffic you will receive from search engines like Google, as well as directly from the links purchased.

When TNX adds new sites to its inventory, it indexes all pages and assigns them to relevant categories. Links are then sold via categories rather than via sitenames, in order to make it easier and quicker for advertisers to spread their links across a number of sites. Because of the spidering, your links will only be placed on relevant pages within sites, rather than being placed site-wide.

TNX have indexed over 24 thousand members global and with a database of over 33,500,000 pages, choosing by category is a much better option. I think this offers a major advantage over schemes like Text Link Ads, where links tend to be placed site-wide, so the targeting isn’t as great.

In addition to being able to select links by category, other filters are available:

  • Yahoo Backlinks: Options are available to select sites with a minimum number of Yahoo Backlinks. More Yahoo Backlinks is a good indicator of whether or not a site is popular, and how much ‘link juice’ it will pass on
  • Google PageRank: Buying links on relevant sites with higher Page Ranks will have better Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) benefits.
  • Geo-targetting: A very handy option to ensure for instance that your links only appear on English language sites, or German etc etc

TNX

One neat trick that TNX.net recommend, which makes sense, is to buy links on pages with PR 0. This review for example, will initially be given a Page Rank of 0, but in time it will get a PR of 3-5, so getting in early could be quite clever.

Once you’ve chosen your basket of sites, you then have to create your adverts. TNX recommends that you create a t least 10 different variants and that at least 70% of the links point to internal pages, for the best results in search engines. They also advise that you make your ads actually look like ads, rather than a senseless bunch of keywords. For instance rather than displaying:

Online Bingo

they advise putting some text before and after the anchor text to make the ad look more interesting and to encourage clicks e.g.

Register For Free £5!: Play Online Bingo - Dreambingo.com

I much prefer this approach to TLA’s, which focuses on playing anchor text on sites, rather than trying to make links enticing to readers.

Once you’ve created/uploaded your links, the final stage involves choosing the number of links you want on the sites that matched the options you chose. These are aggregated up, so if there are two or more sites that matched your criteria e.g PR5/ECommerce/YB 500-5000, then any links you purchase will be shared across those sites.

Make Money Selling Links On Your Site

Adding a site to TNX’s network is very simple. There are only two requirements:

  • Website must be indexed by Google search engine.
  • It must not be using free web-hosting services that do not support PHP, Perl or asp, aspx

Thus, the program is open to all sites, both big and small. Once you’ve added the code to your site, then TNX’s spider will index your site within 1-3 days, and after that your site will be available to advertisers who are buying links.

Only one link will be displayed on a page at a time, which will make accommodating the link on existing pages very easy. I think that this also works in the favour of advertisers, as it reduces the chances of their links being part of a huge long list of links on a page.

Once ads start appearing on your site you start to earn TNX-Points. These points can cashed in at anytime for dollars, or they can be used to buy links on other sites. 2,000 points are given away for free just for registering with TNX, and another 5,000 points for each site that you add to the network.

Lifetime Referral Scheme

TNX also have a very attractive Referral Scheme, where you earn 10% of all TNX-points that any Publisher that you recruit earns, or an Advertiser spends. This is a lifetime payment, so over time a substantial income can be generated just from firing off a few emails.

TNX.net is a very well thought out ad network, and I would recommend trying the service out to both buy and sell links, as it has already generated cash for me in under a week.

Nice review, I have heard about these guys, but was unclear as to how it worked until reading this. I wonder if google will be watching them closely?

yes, I just wanted other to be careful in putting some more time in setting up their campaign. As I went wrong in choosing many high value links. :)

    Harishankar,

When you get to the third step of creating your campaign, you are given an option to restrict the number of websites that will link to your domain. You are also able to place more orders for links with different PR and YB so they are placed at more websites.

I am using TNX myself, and it works out for me just fine. You just need to give it a little more time and effort to find all amazing things TNX can do.

I registered as an advertiser and out of enthu I selected many high pr pages to display my ads and gave a big number when I selected “how many pages should the site show your ad?” and it ate 25$ in a single day. Its a lot to me… to spend for ads. :) Anyway most of the pages which displayed the ads were from Connectedinternet.co.uk. So I learnt I have to wait to see more publishers and now freezed my ad campaign for a while…

    @Cheekopek

I think you’ll find it’s a different set of advertisers on the two networks. Also, you can place the TNX ads in a different part of your site layout to keep them apart.

One of the big advantages of TNX is they spread the advertising rather than a handful of sites getting all the ads, so you really have nothing to lose by adding your site!

After reading through your September earnings I find offers like this to good to not try.
