Even More Ways To Throttle Adsense Silly

In the previous Adsense installment, we discussed rather mild methods to increase your Adsense clickthrough rate. Expect a reasonable $300 to $500 a month boost with those methods- that is, if you don’t go crazy with images and get your account banned.

Let’s turn up the heat and whip out the Gatling Gun for truly droolworthy cheques. And by that, I mean cheques you can post on the web to brag about. How does $2500+ sound? It’s not stellarly Evertonesque yet, but hey, every joe’s got to start somewhere.

Slam Dunk Tip #1 Run info sites on the themes of SEO, legal advice, distance education, forex, mortgages, banking, Vista, Linux, taxes and weightloss. I admit (shamefully) purchasing a database of high paying keywords from some SEO company. These words, when used throughout your site, allow you to enjoy any where from $4 to $30 per click on your ads. I never got $30, but my low traffic distance education blog occasionally gets five or six clicks costing $15 each! This is cool sscrollbar.JPGince the average click reaps only fifty measly cents.

Warning: Never venture into the Made For Adsense trap. Starting a site simply to post ads all over it gets you banned. Rather, choose high paying themes that you can meaningfully blog about. And blog with passion!

Slam Dunk Tip #2 A sneaky location for ads rests right below your name. Yes. Your name. My name. Everyone’s name. If you run a forum or maintain a blog with multiple authors, find a way to insert 234×60 or 125×125 adsense blocks below their posting names. This almost black hat tactic gives the impression that the ads are favored by the authors- possibly inciting click click click!

Slam Dunk Tip #3 Let’s go for the knockout!! Position your ads right next to the right scroll bar and set your margins to zero. Match your web theme and ad backgrounds to the scrollbar color. Check out the image to the left of this article for guidance. What you’ll soon realize is that internet surfers pay constant attention to the scrollbar as they go up and down online documents. Positioning the ad right next to the scrollbar literally hooks em in and entices them with the offers. Give it a whirl. Expect overnight ctr increase!

As before: FLY HIGH!

I noticed mortgage was a good theme to blog about. I am actually still a licensed loan officer although I am not full time anymore as our market in the US has been crushed. My niche was specifically investor loans….maybe i should start a mortgage blog. :D

Wow, I didn’t know people actually get paid for those high paying keywords. The highest I’ve ever gotten paid (that I know of) is around $2/per click. I’ll have to look into some of those niche topics.

@ Sofna - that sounds like a good one for you. Go for it!

My record click was $4,15 on a vacuum cleaner site. ;)

This is very difficult to find such word in Adsense that will bring you a lot of money. No ofcourse this is easy to find them, it’s hard to earn them. There are not a lot of clicks for such words.

These are some tips. I don’t know if I’m going to go ahead and make a site based on high paying keywords but it is certainly something to think about.

Your last tip is really great! I must admit I never thought about putting ads right next to the scroll bar, I’ll have to try it ;)

    Thanks.
