Bloggers Cribs: Martin Brinkman!

Welcome to the Fifth Edition of Bloggers Cribs!!!
Each week on Bloggers Cribs features one blogging ’superstar’, who will let us briefly into their homes to share what gadgets and other electronic delights they have dotted around their home, so you can see if they actually use the products they blog about.
So far we’ve had a brief look into the lives of Matt Craven, Darren Rowse and Leo Babauta. I’m hoping that this week we will have some gadgets to talk about, after a few sparse but interesting weeks.
This week on Bloggers Cribs, we have Martin Brinkman from gHacks. Martin is my oldest blogging friend and we’ve been working together for as long as I can remember. gHacks is updated daily and covers the latest news about Software, the Internet, Services, Games and everything that is related to Technology.
Where do you live Martin?
Europe
PC or Mac and why?
PC. Macs never appealed to me and they are not that popular where I live.
How many PCs do you own?
Two. One Toshiba Notebook to update my blog while traveling around and one desktop pc. Not the newest models but good enough to do anything I like.
What PC rig do you use to manage your site?
both above.
IE, Firefox or other?
Firefox and Opera. Mainly because of security reasons and well, IE sucks, it is as simple as that.
What mp3 player do you own?
Ipod Nano 4GB which is not used anymore because I use my Nokia N73 instead
How big is your mp3 collection?
Some Gigabytes, not sure about the exact count. They all fit on my hard drive though
Object of Desire - what gadget would you buy if money was no option?
The rotating house sounds nice
What has been your most outrageous gadget purchase?
None. I tend to be fairly conservative and do not spend much money on gadgets. If the Wii is a gadget, that would be it.
How many TVs do you own? How big is your biggest screen?
One TV, LCD from Panasonic, not sure about size though.
Xbox 360, Wii or PS3? Do you own more than one?
Wii. Xbox 360 and PS3 offer better graphics but all the same games that I played since I was 6. I’m tired of those and want something new, that’s why I have chosen the Wii. It’s got its flaws as well of course but I think it is the right choice.
What game are you currently playing?
Bioshock. Great atmosphere but pretty straightforward gameplay.
Favourite game of all time?
- Pirates c-64. That’s the game that I played the most in my life I think. It was an awesome game, all remakes suck btw.
- Shining Force Sega Mega Drive: The best turn based roleplaying game on consoles. Yes, better than Final Fantasy Tactics.
- Unreal Tournament PC: The best online shooter ever. Epic killed it withtheir lame “improved” versions.
What gadget are you looking to buy in the next year?
None.
What mobile(s) do you own? Why did you choose that model?
Nokia N73 Music Edition. I have chosen this one because it offers everything I need. I can use it to connect my notebook to the internet and update my blog and play music while on the go. It’s a little bit slow though.
What gadgets do you carry around in your gadget bag?
My mobile phone, nothing else.
If you could keep only one gadget, what would it be?
My mobile phone
One theme that seems to be developing is that bloggers who run active blogs, don’t have time for a lot of distractions. Next week I’ll be featuring another celeb blogger. Let me know if there’s any one you want to see in a future Bloggers Cribs, and Everton’ll will try and fix it.
