I’ve noticed over the last couple of days that Google is indexing my pages within hours. Last night I realised that some pages and comments are indexed within 30 minutes!
I was trying to help Zath out by Googling his HTPC case requirements within 30 minutes of him leaving a comment and I spotted that his own comment was coming up in the results. Is anyone else seeing their pages indexed in similar timescales?
I think it’s amazing that Google’s robots are working so fast, especially when you consider how many pages they must be indexing and constantly rechecking every day. Is there anyway I can check to see how often they are crawling my site? I would love to know if Google’s robots are now intelligent enough to know ‘instantly’ when a change has occurred that needs indexing. If Google is now responding to comments then blogs that get lot of comments could see real dividends, as they will get multiple new results in ‘real-time’.
If you want to test out how fast Google’s robots are now, just leave a comment and google your own comment to see how quickly it appears.
