Help Buying Laptop In San Francisco

A quick question for anyone living in San Francisco or who knows the area.  I’m going to be flying there tomorrow and I’m going to buy a laptop for a friend to take advantage of the cheap dollar.  Is there a particular retail outlet I should go to to get a good deal, or who will have a good range available?

I would recommend either the apple store(there are a couple of them now in SF), Central Computer(.com) for any Asus laptops, or good old Fry’s Electronics(not in SF, but an hour outside the city in Sunnyvale, Mountain view, Redwood city).

I just read your laptop help post. Honestly, not to be biased but right now Apple is making the best quality laptops IMHO. you can get a discount at Apple if you have a friend that works at Starbucks, but that will only save you a couple bucks on the MacBook(about 500 british pounds). There are crazy thanksgiving sales still going on so you can probably get something decent.

Definitely check out Fry’s Electronics. They have the best selection out of anybody. In our Fry’s they carry Apple as well now, so if you’re looking for a mac, they’ve got that too.
