beside w3c xhtml validator, there is validome.org which more strict and clear in results.. :)

Wordpress plugins are generally single .php files. Oftentimes the error a plugin produces can be fixed by hand-editing the plugin. The validator’s verbose output and source reference can help you track down easy to fix problems.

xhtml is a bit complicated though,….
you cannot put metaa tags inside the tag

Thanks for the tips. I’ve tried and tried to fix my websites problems. I have fixed all the red flagged ones that I know about. However it would take me forever to go through and fix everything w3.org tells me to fix. Maybe this will inspire me to give it another shot. Heck…at least I’m not as bad as ESPN.

One point worth noting about Internet Explorer is that it is a forgiving browser. It ensures that your site does get displayed no matter how bad a coder you are!

IE7 is a lot better when it comes to standards.

My suggestion is to design a perfectly valid XHTML site, but remember to test it across browsers and platforms.

Oh.. and use divs instead of tables for layout.
