Magic for Your Networks!
Hooray! You finally signed up for DSL internet. Thing is, you got 10 PCs and want them all hooked up. So you plunk cash for a router and connect all the wires for a spanking new Local Area Network. Everything hums smoothly and the router works as advertised. Then something goes awry.
Here’s where Network Magic comes in.
Network Magic provides a for-dummies interface map and monitor for your home network. This snazzy app empowers you with notifications across the network, as well as Windows Update alerts on each PC where NM is installed.
You’ll love Network Magic as it provides easy sharing of folders and printers on the network. No need to fumble on the tedious process of sharing resources across windows. Even better, there’s a Net2Go function that gives access to shared folders across the internet. I disabled this nonetheless- security is my priority.
Bad news is that the software is shareware with an annual subscription. After the 30 day trial, the app falls back to basic version. The crippled mode cuts access to the network map and some alerts, but happily, the LAN servicing continuous.
7 Steps to putting the magic into your network:
- Download Network Magic Installer at www.networkmagic.com
- Double click NMSETUP.exe
- Let your firewall allow NMSRVC.exe or the app fails.
- NM detects the router and requests for the network password to access the router. Skip this and things don’t function. It’s something I stupidly forgot to do and fumbled for hours.
- Enter the name of each PC that has NM installed.
- Register the software for full functionality.
- Identify folders you want to share across the network.
And you’re done!

Thanks for the article, but your details are not correct. There is no annual subscription anymore, and the trial has been shortened to 7 days.
Also, we now have 2 versions available for those who don’t require all the functionality.
Please check out out website again.

Thanks!

@Fred
- It’s really bad that you have shortened trial period… At first I though this post was a paid review and now it seems that Joseph liked this software and reviewed it here and in the meantime the latest versions came along….
btw, was this software in the early days a freeware!

Nope it isn’t a paid review. I don’t run this blog- Everton does. Only he can do paid reviews.
The proggy in question is well worth the cash. Give it a shot!
