New Eureka WordPress Theme Testing

I’m doing a bit of testing on the new Eureka theme over the weekend.  There are still a lot of known bugs that the designer is ironing out, but I’m happy with how it’s looking so far.  If you spot any new ones then please leave a comment below.

Overall, I think it’s looking pretty good!

    Is this the theme you are using right now on CI? Does the designer have an ETA on the fixes forthe U comment I follow and some of the other items?

    I love the new look!:) Am only viewing it in FF 2.0.11 at the moment, and I think readable text is definitely the way forward!

    In terms of bugs, it seems the pagination might need a little bit of styling as the text is a little bit tight. I’ve taken a screenshot (with my new favourite extension Fireshot) which should hopefully clarify my words.

    @Ryan

    I’m glad you like it ;-)

    It will hopefully be ready for a beta release in a few weeks - it’s still too buggy to release, but ok for me to use full-time I think.

    @web design

    Their is a live test site - http://www.windows7news.com. I took the theme down as some vital stuff was missing and I couldn’t fix it as I’m on a dial-up connection at my folks place. They are getting broadband today as my xmas present so I’ll be able to go online again -Next release will be online today or tomorrow

    It is good that you revert back to the old theme.
    Just make all the test and have all the bug fixed before putting it live.

    Maybe putting it on a test server where we can send feedbacks and do some more inspections.

    What happened? The theme reverted to the old one

    Yeah the layout look weird in IE6. No Title displayed for the articles + no gravatar images for the comments.
    This is probably due to the CSS codes used in developing the theme.
    CSS is good, but require some tweaking to be done in order for it to work fine in other web browser.
    If all your reader were using firefox, it would have been great, but most don’t. It would be sad to loose readers just for this.
