Stuck In a Blogging Funk?

The white screen’s staring at you. Malevolently. “Come on, I dare you. Write!”, it seems to say. If you’re like most bloggers, you’ve been mired in a blogging funk on occasion. You may be raring to pound the keyboard but nothing comes out. So what’s a problogger like you to do? The longer you delay releasing an article, the faster your feedburner stats may drain.
Don’t fear. I offer three solutions.
First, you can simply fire up your feed aggregator and read up on what other bloggers are buzzing about. Chances are, one or two of them will share your passion on something. Read on their posts. Enjoy what they have to say. Pretty soon, your passion will take over and you’ll be churning out an article on the subject with your unique take on the idea.
Second, read the papers. Check what’s new in the metro. You can also watch the news. Join a few events, like a charity. One or two bits of what’s happening should inflame you to write. Don’t lose the flame. Grab your notebook and start posting away.
Finally- and this is a last resort- simply move one of your old posts to the top. Not all your readers read everything you had to say. Few will actually notice that you rehashed an article. But what if someone points it out? The worst that will happen is he’ll skip reading it. But the others will remain happy.
Have fun blogging!
