Please Leave Final Feedback On New Eureka Theme

I’m going to spend this week making one last push to get my new Eureka theme polished up and finished. If you have any feedback on how you think the design could be improved then please let me know in a comment.

Things I already want to work on are:

  • Making the header nav look slicker and more professional
  • Moving the sponsor buttons above the fold and turn into a 2v2 grid
  • Tidying up the sidebar units
  • Tidying up the tags and archive pages
  • Tidying up the messy footer
  • Fixing the messy post info on index pages
  • Adding ‘news feed’ and ‘comments’ buttons above banner in header like on http://www.revolutiontheme.com/magazine/
  • Improving sidear, header, and footer colours so fits in better with sidebar
  • Removing ‘Subscribe to RSS Feed section in sidebar, but keep subscribe via email and RSS feed count button
  • Add new tag cloud below ‘Editors’ and ‘Useful Links’
  • Improve the look and feel of ‘Latest Posts’ and ‘New Comments’ tabs
  • Make the links stand out better in ‘About Connected Internet’
  • Make the Ciao banner blend in better
  • Main Body: Fix spaces between sections - make tidier e.g space between banners
  • Fix the ‘continue reading this post’ links so look like typoxp theme e.g. from http://www.connectedinternet.co.uk/2005/12/03/10-simple-ways-to-speed-up-windows-xp/ to this http://www.onetipaday.com/2007/03/08/guide-to-watching-champions-league-premiership-and-uefa-cup-football-online/
  • Improve the segmentation of sections i.e. between different sections of site
  • Optimise theme, css etc so that site loads faster
  • Validate code
  • Remove the awful shading behind header, subscribe to email etc

    @Scott

Eureka will be made available, but not I’m overhauling it. I’m not going to release this version as it is really clunky and hard to use. I’ve got a new designer who’s rebuilding it from scratch so it is easier to use and the new preview is here
. He hasn’t done any work for a while as he’s been ill, but he is going to resume on Monday

Hi Everton….I started my blog with your original version. New version looks great.

Is it available now? Or is this going to be private. I need to upgrade really bad.
