How HP Makes You a Math Whiz
I know quite a number of CPAs who’ve already forgotten their multiplication table. I also know some engineers and architects (like myself) who labor at quick mental math.
Quick! What’s 3928.7 + 9209.2?
If you’re like me, it may have taken sometime to crunch those figures in your head. The more decimal points, the tougher. And don’t get me started with multiplication. (what’s 891X671 ?) I’d normally whip out my Ericsson P1i for quick additions at the grocery- or my financial calculator when Im trembling at the taxman’s assessment desk. The annoying thing is, I don’t always carry my cellphone. My financial calculator snoozes at the desk- absent when I need it most. So how do I pull off being a math whiz without the gadgetry?
It’s delightful, then, that HP introduced the Quick Calc.

The nice thing about these candy cane math geniuses is that they’re small enough to dangle at the end of your keychain. The Quick Calc also sports functions you’d need for business at the boardroom or a romp at the DIY store. And because it’s always hanging from your keys, sizzling math power rests at your fingertips- even if you forgot your cellphone.
Now, I have medium-sized fingers and was concerned about usability. That fear was unfounded. Calculations zipped through this baby faster than at my P1i. I attribute this to the intelligent way the casing curves and forces the keys away from each other. You won’t be punching 98 when you meant 96.
This product can be a definite saver- especially when you’re arguing about splitting the bill. So grab one today!

I was just wondering where you were, and now you won’t shut up

Thanks for the review of this on-the-go gadget. Calculators are usually needed when they’re not around, so having one of these dangling off your keyring can only be a help. HP is one of my favourite technology suppliers, I got an HP notebook, printer & fax. Cheers.

Technology prevents us from using our minds to calculate simple things. Now we need calculators to do simple calculations. I used to remember most tel numbers and now I only remember very few. I guess we are using our minds to better good in other ways.
