I've been drooling over bying an iphone for months now but wandered into our local phone shop last month just for a look at the G1. I came out 30 minutes later clutching my shinny new Android phone. I have to say that t's everything I ever wanted in a phone and a whole lot more.

Since the release of the iPhone ive been intrigued buy the hype of the G1. I think its never gonna out do the iPhone, however i do feel that the keyboard allows alot more functionality to the G1.

I cant even imagine buying any of these "New era" phones as the price tags on some of them are ridiculous for some one of my age to afford. Good luck to google for plundging into a new market.

There is no way that t-mobile have sold 1.5 million G1s, sound like they are trying the old Apple trick of claiming massive numbers are sold in the hope that other will think, "if they have sold million is much be a great phone". On the t-mobile wbesiteyou cant even buy the G1 so i can see how they have sold millions.

I'm looking forward to getting my hands on one of these as after being tempted by the iPhone for so long, I've now realised that my HTC Tytn II does everything I need for the time being and hopefully the next HTC handsets featuring Android will be even better!

First off your in the UK and I'm in the US and I've been tracking the X1 ever since June of this year. I really thought that the x1 was that phone but delay after delay, no price tag on it and, not knowing what carrier will get it is a real downer! I give it to T-mobile, Htc and Google for putting a plan together and sticking with it. OK the G1 Is an ugly phone but I'm not taking it out on a date! Can it preform as the phone that i want?, that's what i look for in a phone. Now i hear that the x1 might not even carry the horrible windows mobile 6.1. Windows on phones is bad they need to come up with something with a different base then what you would find on your desktop computer. The reason that the G1 is doing so good is because the OS is different then anything that is out! With the x1, it is a pretty phone but the only thing that would stop me from buying it is the OS. The frist thing that comes to mind is when i had my wing and the main problem that i always had was that crappy Window's Mobile 6 would always mess up!
