Find The Best Mobile & Fixed Broadband Deal With Top 10 Broadband

There have never been more ways to get broadband in the UK. I’m sure that a lot of consumers must be getting really confused by the number of offers they are bombarded with. Despite there now being fewer large traditional broadband ISPs, what has happened in the UK is that big brands from other areas e.g. Sky, Vodafone and O2 have entered the arena in an attempt to shake up the market, and there are some great deals out there now for users.
One of the biggest new segments that has opened up that has taken some of the larger service providers by surprise is the growth in the number of mobile broadband users, who are buying mobile ‘dongle’s to get broadband on the move. Dongle’s aren’t new, but over the last 12 months they seem to have really taken off in the UK and some providers are now even offering free laptops with mobile broadband packages.
Making sense of the breadth of offers available can be confusing, particularly given broadband speed test results, even for someone like myself who work for one of the large ISPs. Sometimes I count myself lucky that I get my broadband for free from my firm, otherwise I would struggle to pick a deal. Luckily for confused punters like myself there are a number of broadband comparison sites setting up. One of the earliest is Top 10 Broadband which launched in January 2007. The site is one of the UK’s most popular dedicated broadband comparison website offering comparison tools for home and mobile broadband packages. Across the site can be found over 100 broadband deals and offers in-depth broadband news, reviews and guides and over one million visitors use the service each month.
The homepage of top 10 broadbnad is very laid out, with clear links to find the best mobile and fixed broadband deals, with sections to find special offers based on geographic location or for switchers. Once offers are found they can be easily sorted by several variables such as speed, download limits, contract length, price etc. One feature the site is sorely missing though is customer reviews. One thing I would advise against doing is just buying the cheapest deal or a ‘free’ service, is sometimes you really do get what you pay for and it can be worth paying that little bit extra for a premium offering.
If you need more help to pick a broadband provider there are a number of guides available on the site that can help troubled customers. There are about 40 guides covering a range of topics such as how to get broadband without a landline and how to choose a broadband provider. Even if you are happy with your current broadband provider I’d advise checking out top 10 broadband to make sure you’re not missing out on a better deal.
