Get the Message Across with NiceCritic

Are you longing to tell your coworker he has bad breath but don’t know how? Do you want to let people know their faults but are afraid of sounding rude? Now you can actually do this and that too anonymously. The solution is to use NiceCritic, a site that lets you send potentially embarrassing messages to people without revealing your identity.

NiceCritic has a collection of pre-written ‘messages with a hint’. To begin, pick the category that interests you. Presently, there are nine categories like personal hygiene, appearance, office behavior, cubicle critic, and sports etiquette just to name a few.

The next step is to pick the appropriate message for your purpose. Messages may be mild like ‘Please get to games on time’ or more strongly worded such as ‘Washing your hands after using the restroom is a wonderful way to not spread germs’. Whatever the occasion, there’s sure to be a message for it.

After you select your message, you just need to enter the recipient’s name and email address and NiceCritic will deliver the message to the intended person. That’s all there is to it. Messages can also be delivered in Spanish so users are not restricted to just one language on the site.

NiceCritic does have some safeguards in place to minimize the harsh effect of receiving an anonymous message. Only allowing pre-written messages to be sent ensures that nothing overtly malicious is sent across to a person. Also, once a message has been sent, the same message cannot be sent to the recipient for 96 hours. So there’s no way a person could get spammed with the same message from different people. Additionally, a person who receives a message has the option of unsubscribing to messages thereby preventing further messages from reaching that person.

I haven’t sent out a NiceCritic message to anyone yet and I don’t know if I would do so. But that’s because I’m not very comfortable with sending out an anonymous message. What about you? Do you think NiceCritic is a good way to get your point across? Let me know.
