iPhone PC Suite

Pissed at iTunes? Here’s a 14MB alternative that lets you plumb the innards of your iphone- and make it do cartwheels: PC Suite for iPhone

The app is a freeware application which totally replaces iTunes for transferring images, apps, videos, and songs from iPhone to ciphonepcsuite-1-thumbomputer. And vice versa.

The software uses a similar “iPhone mobile phone” friendly interface. That means you click on the image that looks just like your phone! For iPhone this is one perfect solution for PC use which is convenient to use as well.

Here are a few bells and whistles that go with it:

  • Download & Upload pics to and from PC and iPhone
  • Camera Calendar, Contacts and SMS Management
  • Photos- works 100%
  • Notes and eBook
  • Call log
  • SMS Chat- works 100%, send SMS to someone from PC through iPhone
  • Safari, bookmark management
  • Finder
  • Backup/Restore
  • Themes
  • Ringtones – they wont get deleted when synchronized with iTunes and the app converts them automatically.

Oh, the installation is in chinese, but you can change the default language to English after installation. Think you can find a better itunes killer than this?

  • Very well written post however, I would recommend that you turn the No Follow off in your comment section.

    Keep up the good work.
  • iTunes is a horrible piece of software to use as a noob but once you break thru that phase, the power of iTunes is amazingly brilliant for organising your iPod or iPhone.

I would stick to learning and harnessing the full power of iTunes before switching to possibly unreliable alternatives.
  • I have this program installed and use it as a faster and 'lighter' way of connecting to my iPhone, however a couple of points not mentioned above:
    1. Don't even bother using the Apps part of this tool - it is horribly buggy
    2. You need a jailbroken iPhone to use this or it won't recognise your iPhone

Does this app work with an iTouch??

    Thanx
  • Now this sounds interesting, I really hate the way that iTunes seems so sluggish to use on the PC and now I've got an iPhone I'm finding I'm having to use it even more - I might have to take a look at this option instead! Thanks!
