I have just stumbled upon AIMP, a free russian video player that kinda looks like the popular media player known as “Winamp”. It offers a build-in audio converter/recorder that allows you to convert music from a variety of formats to wma, mp3, wav and ogg. It? features a Mp3 tag editor functions to make watching and searching easier and much more convenient than ever. It also lets you modify and edit tags on video files with resource management mode.
Currently it is available in 35 languages and various skins are also made into application. In addition to that users can design their own custom skin using their official skin editor. The software has been tested by some of the well known websites out there and got great reviews. It is totally compatible with Windows 7.
Beside all the above features it also has a very powerful audio library and the ability to record recent playing records automatically. Users can easily sort videos by file, artist, period and music styles. A tree-shape list show on the left and a space below helps you to search.
There are plug-ins available for AIMP which allows you to add lyrics and helps FM Dolby Digital voice and other video formats work normally. These plugins can be downloaded from AIMP’s official website
It is more like a clone for Winamp and includes operations, functions keys and button postitions similar to it.
