Recover Accidently Closed Applications

There are times when we are have opened up different applications and without knowing, we click the [x] button and then slam your hand on the keyboard, thinking “what the”, I didn’t wanted to close that one! There’s a solution in the form of a small application called “GoneIn60s“. A fantastic idea which came in existence at DonationCoder.

gonein60s Recover Accidently Closed Applications

You’ll think, why is it called GoneIn60s? The idea is the application itself, is it gives you the ability to re-open any closed application within 60 seconds (default setting). You can extend the time till 100 seconds (or more) if you want to. Why 60 to 100 seconds? Well, they have kept in mind the resources that your computer might be using if the closed application (recoverable) is in the software so it eliminates it after the given time. And since it’s accidentally closed, you’ll most probably recover it in a minute or less. Third question, (assumptions, assumptions), how much memory will it take? not much, only 4MB or so… not a problem I guess.

Features include:

  • Click the X or press Alt-F4 to close an application.
  • To recover, right click the tray icon and choose an application
  • Double click the tray icon to recover all applications.
  • If not restored, it is gone in 60 seconds
