Windows 7 RC leaked Already On Torrents

The Windows 7 Release Candidate isn’t officially launched until May 5th, but both the 32bit and 64bit versions (Windows 7 Build 7100) have been leaked on torrent sites already. I’ve never known a program to be leaked as much as Windows 7 and I’m sure it must be Microsoft ’sanctioned’, because otherwise they would do more to stop it.

Windows 7 Release Candidate screenshots have already hit the net, and we’ve included 50 Windows 7 RC Screenshots on Windows 7 News. If you haven’t been running the Windows 7 Beta so far, then this is the one to download as it is effectively a finished version and it’s free!

  • That was bloody quick wasn't it!

So who leaked it, ThePirateBay? :-P
  • Microsoft really wants to build and sustain as much hype around Windows 7 as possible, and their reasoning is to get it out there, and use this as an expanded Beta test. I am sure they are watching the blogosphere with eagle eyes for any criticism and input that that can use to still tweak and fine tune their latest offering.
  • I agree with you - this isn't a leak, more of an unofficial beta testing! I'd grab it myself but wouldn't microsoft be able to figure out I was running an illegal copy and block me from doing things? (updates etc)
