Agreed. Chrome is the best browser on the market. I used the brushed theme.

I have been a big fan and supporter of Firefox, but I must agree with you that Chrome is faster, for sure. I would switch 100% to Chrome, if they had some of the Add-ons that Firefox has. The addon’s is whats keeping me on Firefox.

I’m still not convinced about Chrome. I really believe the big G will use it for more data collection, targeted advertising and revenue generation. Once they have a big enough market share it will become just another part of the Google machine and I reckon the hidden bits they put in it will soon slow it down. Firefox can be stuffed full of plugins and it is still fast and reliable.

I use Firefox as it’s got so many great plugins that let you customise it how you want, and add useful facilities that I couldn’t live without.

However, I will have to try Chrome to see what it’s like – I’ve also got IE, Netscape and Safari installed so ought to have Chrome too to see the difference.

I’ll let you know how I get on!

I love IE but am starting to get annoyed by the slow speed.

Any webkit browser is going to be faster, and in general use less cpu and memory than a mozilla browser doing the same task.

New for Mac is Stainless, which uses the webkit core, and is designed to be multi-threaded for us multiple processor users.

well, don’t know what u r on mate. yes faster than IE, but faster than Opera or Firefox… u must be joking…
compared 5 browsers in the same environment at the same time viz, Opera, Firefox, The World, Flock and Chrome…
Needless to say, Opera best (on 90% of the sites, but has issues sometimes with dynamic contents) , Firefox ( fast and robust) and The World (fast and robust, basically a lightweight and faster version of IE…). Basically speaking, i didn’t notice any speed difference between IE and a Chrome. But i like the Chrome interface. so, it gets my vote. IE has better security measures, i guess, not considering the bugs underlying…
