A recent trend in the UK broadband market is the giving away of free laptops to new broadband users. The first ISP to give away free laptops was Carphone Warehouse, and many other ISPs have since followed their lead. As with many ‘free’ deals you have to ask yourself, what are you giving up in return and whether or not you’d be better off contracting with a more reliable ISP such as BT, who have not jumped on the free laptop bandwagon.
