Nokia has announced the availability of their much anticipated N97 Smartphone. They have confirmed that the new QWERTY phone will be available in 75 countries worldwide starting June 2009.
Nokia N97 comes with a 3.5 inch touchscreen and offers an integrated GPS with electronic compass and accelerometer for correct orientation of display. In addition to that it will have support for Bluetooth version 2.0 with EDR, micro USB connector, 3.5 mm AV connector and HSDPA connectivity.
Based on Symbian S60 5th edition OS, Nokia N97 will offer direct downloads of applications, games, videos as well as widgets to its users. Furthermore, it will have a full web browsing of real web pages for better user experience and Home Screen that can be customized with a range of widgets.
To provide you with the best video and images experinces, Nokia N97 will have a powerful 5 Megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, auto focus and dual LED flash. It will also have the ability to record MPEG-4 video resolution up to to nHD 640×360 pixels or VGA at 30 fps.

I’m using Nokia 6220 Classic Navigator but I guess I’ll switch to N97 as soon as its available in the local market. If you’re living in the UK you should be able to get your hands on the Nokia N97 on June 19 for £499.
