Turn Proxy on and off with a single click In Firefox

If you’ve ever bothered to check you browsers options you would’ve eventually come across a tab or page named `Connection’ (or advanced settings etc) Within it you also would’ve seen something along the lines of `Proxy settings.’
The use of a proxy server is mainly used in LAN environments (eg. a bunch of computers connected to each other inside one room) and its most basic function is to act as a `middleman’ between your LAN computers and the internet (ie its a separate computer/server that allows access to the internet)
Usually switching between internet and `non internet mode is a royal pain, every time you need to access the web you’ll need to go into your browsers settings, enable the `proxy server’ option, click apply and then exit out of the many windows you had to open, it’s a major annoyance!
That’s what QuickProxy intends to fix! Desgined for the FireFox browser (sorry IE / opera etc users) Quickproxy is an addon that basically shows an On/Off button in FireFox’s status bar, whenever you need to switch on proxy mode just click on the button and when done with the internet just turn it off (green=on red=off).

QuickProxy also gives you a useful preferences box where you can select the proxy type and even directly open proxy settings without going through all the hassle of those windows and buttons!
For those corporate junkies who just need to use the internet for their frequent info-fix this is just what the doctor ordered!
