Microsoft earlier announced the release of Office 2010 Beta of their Office series of productivity suite. They also offered users to experience pre-release version of Office 2010 Beta. For those of you who pre-registered for this should get more details via email soon because Microsoft has just announced the new Office 2010 along with SharePoint Server 2010 and Microsoft Project 2010.
According to Microsoft the new Office 2010 and related products promise to provide people with new levels of flexibility and choice. This includes the ability to work anywhere with Office web applications such as Word, Powerpoint, Excel and OneNote. These applications will become easily accessible virtually from anywhere and preserve the feel of a document regardless of device.
In addition to that the new Suite offers better collabortion with co-authoring in MS Word 2010, PowerPoint 2010 and OneNote 2010. Bringing ideas to life with video and picture editing and easy document preparation through the new Microsoft Office Backstage view makes it look even more juicy.
The Microsoft Office 2010 homepage has also gone live and online at http://www.microsoft.com/Office2010.
“Office 2010 is the premier productivity solution across PCs, mobile phones* and browsers,” said Chris Capossela, senior vice president of the Microsoft Business Division at Microsoft. “From broadcast and video editing in PowerPoint, new data visualization capabilities in Excel, and co-authoring in Word, we are delivering technology to help people work smarter and faster from virtually any location using any device.”
As expected the links for Microsoft Office 2010 Beta 1 have also been leaked via torrents but I wouldn’t recommend downloading it as it may be infected with viruses and malwares.
