There are lots of great platforms to launch your blogs and begin your blogging journey. Many of us only know that there are WordPress and Blogger that provide excellent services when it comes to launching new websites in minutes.
Recently, I got to learn more about Tumblr. It is a platform for bloggers whose main focus is not on blogging but more on small snippets of info that are mixed with links, photos, videos, quotes etc. It includes almost everything you’d find on a blog except that the commentary is at a minimum. These short mixed data posts are called Tumblelogs.
Tumblr is a blog like platform with the main focus being on Tumblelogs than standard blogs. Tumblr’s extremely easy interface can get you signed up with a minute or less. Another great fact includes the easy flowing nature which makes it more similar to social networking microblogging sites like Twitter than a full featured blog.
With Tumblr as soon as you sign up you have a platform where you can add quotes or dialogues and of course the above mentioned photos, videos, etc “as you experience them”
One really powerful option is email publishing. If there is something you like and want to tell the world about it but you just have your cell phone with internet available and no blog post entry software then you can simply email your posts directly to your tumblr blog/ Whatever the contents are Tumblr will figure it out and present it without you having to hassle with any code. Just so you know Tumblr has one of the best iPhone publishing apps ever
