Is This The Worst Website Ever?

View Comments August 25, 2009 | Everton

I spent some time yesterday trying to find the best lease deal possible for a new car for my wife and I came across the website below.  Definitely a candidate for the worst website ever!!

Worst website

Update!! I actually found a video of ‘Ling’ on Dragons’ Den.   She was exactly what I was expecting!

Ling, well done to you - you're great at marketing and used Dragon's Den very cleverly to promote your business. I'm with Everton on this one though, its an awful website.

Lings website is a freaking joke.

    Ling told you! lol.
  • nope, just took Michael's advice and decided not to trade barbs

Ling - Keep up the good work, its a refreshing change to see a different site and the visitor number say it all!

Everton I think the saying people in glass houses applies here - nothing really exciting about your own site other than you get a lot of 404 errors from the links that are on there - good luck with the re-design!

Yes £35million of new cars, I am sure, I have just done end of year management accounts. Errr, Everton, according to statbrain http://www.statbrain.com/www.connectedinternet.... , this website has 12 visitors a day. If you discount your own website views, that makes 11 and without me that makes 10.

Do you know the names of your visitors? I could personally say HI to each of them:) Do you realise that you have more adverts on this page, than visitors every day?

What were you saying about decent websites?... I missed it, I was just checking the 4093 visitors I've had so far today :)

Well, well, hahaha, another first-degree graduate who thinks he knows how to run a successful business :) Who else sells cars by shooting them with an AK47, but me? What would everyone prefer, some massively boring, out of date list on a very shallow advertising site (like any other car leasing or dealer website)?

I will give Everton a tip; instead of running portals for some ISP, you should try to do it for yourself. And see how long you last!

In the new-car playground I compete with massive car dealership groups, bank owned companies like JamJar and many corporate brokers and independents who all try to crush me and I manage to beat them all for visitor numbers, enjoyment and participation. I fend off attack after attack from people like BMW UK and Mercedes UK who want to stop me selling their new cars. I am a simple immigrant Chinese bird with no motor trade background. Last year my website (alone) moved over £35 million of new cars. Computer Shopper said: "The leading evangelist of treating website customers with intelligence and collaboration is Ling Valentine... welcome to the future".

Hope your wife finds a car, Everton, but don't watch Top Gear as part of your research, it will upset you with "Worst TV Programme Ever". You seem sensitive. Wear sunglasses when viewing my site! :) Did you consider my 1,375 customer testimonials when researching?

Thanks so much for your well-researched opinion, Everton. Don't walk in front of my AK, hahaha!
