Here at ConnectedInternet we often use thumbnails for each post on the main page. It not only makes the theme look good and much more organized but you get an idea of what the post is about right after looking at the small image.
To make a thumbnail I simply pick up any image and open it up in paint and change the size to 125 X 125 but since I have to do it every now and then it becomes somewhat annoying for me. Today, I have confronted an easy to use application that adds a “Create thumbnail” option right in the Windows Explorer right click menu.
RightThumb enables you to quickly create thumbnails from your images via the Windows Explorer right-click menu. What I like about this application is that you can easily specify the thumbnail dimensions, format and file name postfix so that you don’t have to go through the whole process for each thumbnail.
For example if I always need to use 125 X 125 thumbnail in a JPEG format on this blog I would simply go to RightThumb Options and set the max width/height to 125/125 and click JPEG as thumbnail output. Once done it will always save the image to 125 x 125 thumbnail and I wouldn’t need to worry about wasting time on Paint or anywhere else.

Once done, right click on any image and click “Create thumbnail” to get your desired results.
