This startling revelation from the software giant was declared on last Thursday.

In a statement released on Thursday, the software company declared that it had finalized the code for the “XP mode”. According to the sources, the free software will be available from October 22, the same day where Microsoft will release Windows 7. Although Microsoft believes that certain applications of XP are compatible with Windows 7, the introduction of XP mode will serve as an added benefit so that SMBs can migrate safely in order to run Windows 7 without facing any hassles.

Microsoft had announced earlier in the month of April that it will be offering the XP mode to the users. The basic aim is to make business in a smaller scale, but with the introduction of the “XP mode” the worn out programs will now be compatible with the Windows 7.

In order to run Windows 7 XP Mode, the users should have either Windows XP Professional or Windows 7 Enterprise or Windows 7 Ultimate installed in their PC. Only then the XP mode can be enabled in your computer. Moreover, the processor which are capable of hardware virtualization is a must along with the AMD-V turned on.

The launch of the Windows 7 XP Mode is scheduled to happen on October 22nd. This new introduction is hence a sigh of relief for all those users whose PC’S were not compatible with the old programs.
