Customizing your computer’s desktop adds fun to the entire experience of using a computer. Whether you are creating a Powerpoint presentation or playing solitaire on your PC, having your desktop the way you like it keeps you from getting bored.
Nowadays there are numerous desktop customizing software. Most of them are too complicated to fully appreciate, and sometimes are accompanied by a ridiculous price tag.
Today we go over a desktop customizing program that goes against the flow of current desktop customizers in the sense that it is extremely easy to use and is free!
The program is Fences.
The download file is merely ~9 MB in size and can be downloaded from here. One of Fences’ requirements is Net Framework 2.0, so make sure you have that installed before running the program.
Once installed, a restart is required. On the subsequent Windows startup, you are presented with the option of manually sorting your desktop icons, but I would recommend the ‘Auto’ option as it does a wonderful job. Even my desktop, which is home to only a handful of icons, was transformed in an amazing neat way:
