Download FLV/Swf files from Webpages in a Jiffy

flashFLV and SWF files are used by numerous websites for a variety of purposes. These file formats are used for videos because of their compact size. They are all used for creating small games (more commonly known as Flash-based games).

To obtain these media, be it videos or games, by downloading it requires special software. One such software is Moyea Free Flash Downloader which lets you download the Flash content of a webpage.

The setup file to download is just ~2 MB large. When installed, here is how the program looks like:

The interface is extremely simple to use. All you need to do is paste the URL of the page hosting the FLV/SWF content and click Download SWF.

*The Convert SWF feature takes you to Moyea’s page of other products which provide media conversion into other formats.

As a sample, I went over to this Virtual Piano website. I checked it out and like the virtual keyboard they had hosted. For offline access, I pasted the link of the Virtual Piano into Moyea and clicked ‘Download SWF.’ Instantly, the Virtual Piano was downloaded into the Moyea folder (which in Windows Vista is Documents –> Moyea –> SWFGrab).

If there are videos to be downloaded, then the panel on the right can be used to preview or play the downloaded videos.

Key features include

  • Free
  • Easy to Use
  • Allows you to download Flv/swf flash files
  • Won’t take much memory space (2MB only)

With its clean simplicity and usefulness, Moyea Flash Downloader becomes a tool all internet users should download and install right away.
