According to a press release spilled out from Netflix, PS3 will now will get Netflix streaming, thereby enabling the users to experience the streaming feature at no extra rate. Sources revealed that the newest feature will be made available at no extra cost other than the usual rent that the Netflix users had to pay, which is as low as $9.
The newest technology on the block offered from Netflix has been readily welcomed by the PS3 users. The only problem that the PS3 owners will have to face is the fact that now they have to inculcate a Blu-ray disc which will seemingly initiate streaming with the help of BD functionality. Moreover, the PS3 owners who do not have a Netflix account will now have to create one in order to get the newly introduced facility. Billed as one of the biggest ventures from Netflix, the latest technology offered to the users is expected to initiate the growth of PS3 users. According to the sources, the service will be available in the US from the month of November.
The press release that was unveiled from Netflix also suggested that the users can categorize the content according to their personal choices and preferences. If any additional content is required then it can be added through a PC Web Browser. The latest move now heats up the ongoing competition in the game console arena, especially between PS3 and XBox 360. Only time would reveal whether PS3 powered by Netflix gains a stronghold in the market or not.
